How God Can Turn Your Fear into Peace
By Warren Olson

Throughout my years of ministry I have found there is one problem that every person deals with at one point or another in their life. And that problem is fear.

Whether it's the fear of illness…the fear of financial calamity…the fear for the safety of those you love…or the fear of death…all of us have dealt with the paralyzing problem of fear.

Perhaps even today you're dealing with a form of fear. If so, I want you to understand you are not alone. Even the followers of Christ were filled with fear after His death on the cross.

Just imagine how they must have felt after watching Him die such a gruesome death. I'm sure they were sad, depressed, confused, and hopeless. How could anything good ever come out of something so horrible?

Yet as you and I know, their sorrow and fear were turned into peace and joy when Jesus conquered death on rose again on Easter Sunday!

And it's through Jesus' death and resurrection that YOU can claim peace and victory over whatever fears that may be gripping you today.

You know…as I have counseled people over the years…I have found that fear goes hand in hand with doubt. Can you see the correlation? Satan wants you to doubt that what God says is true. And when you doubt the promises of God, the natural response is to fear.

But the great news today is that you don't have to live in fear any longer because what God says is true! And you can rest assured that He will protect and sustain you no matter what fear you may be facing.

In Isaiah 41:13, God says:

For I am the Lord, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.

Isn't that a wonderful picture of our Lord? Just like you would give your hand to a child who has fallen down, so too does God offer you His hand when you are knocked to the ground by fear.
