I’m very ill and the doctors don’t think I’m going to get better. What kind of hope can I have for a better tomorrow?

This is a very common question I hear from seniors today. Is it really possible to have hope when it seems there’s nothing to hope for? The answer is a resounding yes!

In Christ, there’s always something to hope for. For some, God may supernaturally heal you and give you many more years of life. For others, He may very well call you home to be with Him. But let’s never forget what our ultimate hope should be: heaven. In fact, even those in the Bible whom Jesus raised from the dead eventually passed away and entered eternity.

The point is that whether you’re 20 years old or 90, you must cling to the single hope that surpasses all others—that if you’re in Christ, you’ll one day be with Him forever. What a wonderful hope we have!
