English Toffee Bars
- Cream butter and brown sugar together until fluffy. Add egg and beat.
- Sift flour with baking powder. Add to sugar mix. Stir in vanilla.
- Spread mixture evenly in a greased 10 x 15-inch jelly roll pan.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
- Remove from oven. Spread melted chocolate over the top.
- Sprinkle with nuts and pat them in. Cut into bars before it cools. Makes 36 bars.
