Plan A: Start studying when you’re about 7 years old, real hard. Then grow up and get a good job. From then on, get up at dawn every day. Flatter your boss. Crush competition ruthlessly. Climb over backs of coworkers. Be the last one to leave every night. Squirrel away every cent. Avoid having a nervous breakdown. Avoid having a premature heart attack. Get a face lift. Do this every day for 30 years, holidays and weekends included. By the time you’re ready to retire you should have your money.
Plan B: Play the lottery.
Most people, if they’re really honest, would probably choose Plan B over Plan A if they knew they’d win the lottery. The problem is that your chances of winning are so slim, but it still sounds so good when compared to a lifetime of back-breaking work.
So let’s face it… you’re probably not going to win the lottery. But what if Plan A didn’t have to be as grueling as it sounds? People who see their daily lives as a mission from God and don’t make money the focus live above the ordinary and don’t have to get bogged down in the daily grind.
Don’t let your daily routine get you down. Maintain your focus on God and serving Him with your life. When you do, you’ll learn what it means to live life at a different level!
