Be transformed!

And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into His likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.— 2 Corinthians 3:18

No matter how long you’ve been walking with Christ, one of the hardest parts of the Christian life is letting God transform your heart. We know from Scripture that God intends to remake us from the inside out into the likeness of Jesus Christ. But to do that, He has to be given free reign of the project.

It’s like C.S. Lewis writes in his book, Mere Christianity…

“Imagine yourself as a living house. God comes in to rebuild that house. At first, perhaps, you can understand what He is doing. He is getting the drains right and stopping the leaks in the roof and so on; you knew that those jobs needed doing and so you are not surprised.

“But presently He starts knocking the house about in a way that hurts abominably and does not seem to make any sense. What on earth is He up to? The explanation is that He is building quite a different house from the one you thought of – throwing out a new wing here, putting on an extra floor there, running up towers, making courtyards. You thought you were being made into a decent little cottage: but He is building a palace!”

God wants to transform your heart into something beautiful that reflects Christ. And no matter your age, He has more plans in mind. Plans to take everything that’s broken, ugly, and sad, and turn it into something fit for a King’s palace.

It’s an exciting project, and He’s ready to get started today. Are you?
