What is one way that I can overcome the fear I have in my heart?

Well, I have often found that quoting Scripture is a great way to defeat the enemy when I start to worry or have fear. In fact, it’s a great idea to write down a promise from God’s Word about fear (Philippians 4:6-7, Isaiah 41:13, 1 Peter 5:7) and carry it around in your pocket wherever […]

What’s the best way for me to help revival begin in others’ lives?

As a senior, you have a unique platform when it comes to speaking truth into others’ lives because people want to hear your story. So when you spend time around friends and family, tell them the story of what God has done in your life. As they listen, they’ll come to a better understanding of […]

How to Know God Personally

Who’s your best friend? Perhaps it’s your spouse or a lifelong friend, or maybe it’s someone you met fairly recently. Why do you feel especially close to this person? Many would answer that question by saying it’s because you’ve developed a close personal relationship with them.

The word relationship has at its root the word relation. Webster defines “relation” as a connection by blood or marriage. God wants to have a personal relationship with us and to do this He sent His son Jesus who shed His blood for our sin.

How to experience freedom from worry and stress

Over the years as I’ve met with men and women to talk about their spiritual health, I’ve been amazed to discover that there’s one thing that limits believers more than anything else. In fact, I’d say it’s the number one reason that most American Christians miss reaching their full potential as an instrument of the Kingdom. Stress.

Warren, you say that I should make giving a priority, but after I cover all my necessary expenses, I have very little—if anything—left to give.

Your question really brings to mind Jesus’ teaching in Luke 21:1-4…

How to experience financial freedom

As I minister to seniors all over the country, one of the biggest causes of stress that I see in their lives is the subject of finances. But did you know that God doesn’t want money to be a source of stress in your life? And that He wants you to experience financial freedom? It’s true.

Yet, financial freedom won’t just happen. God expects you and me to be good stewards of the money He has blessed us with. As the apostle Paul writes in 1 Corinthians 4:2, “Now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful.”

What will our glorified bodies be like?

We need to remember that death is not the end, but rather the separation of body and soul. While our earthly, temporal bodies will be buried in the ground, our soul will go to be with the Lord…

How to make your prayers a vibrant conversation with God

You probably remember the days of door-to-door salesmen, those gentlemen who used to ring your doorbell at 2 p.m. trying to sell you the latest and greatest product you just had to buy. I can’t tell you how many stories I’ve heard from husbands who came home after work only to be surprised by their wife’s new purchase!
