Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe. — Hebrews 12:28
Worry is an epidemic in today’s culture. We worry about the weather. We worry about politics. We worry about our health. And of course, we worry about the future.
But the truth is you weren’t made to worry – you were made to worship! And nothing drives away worry like praising the One who loves you and holds your life in His hands.
As Chuck Swindoll wrote…
“What comes from the Lord because it is impossible for humans to manufacture it? Wisdom. What comes from humans because it is impossible for the Lord to experience it? Worry. What is it that brings wisdom and dispels worry? Worship.”
Worry is a human condition because God can’t have anxiety over a universe under His complete control. And you don’t have to have anxiety when you choose to trust in His sovereignty over your own fears.
So the question for you today is, will you worry or will you worship?
Because the fullest expression of your trust in God is a heart full of praise!
Prayer Challenge
Pray that God would give you wisdom to trust Him fully. And ask Him to change your heart of worry into a heart of worship.
